November Movies

1. 30 Days of Night (November 1) - The movie theme of this film seems to be very familiar to me. Like Virus, 28 Days Later, etc. Once the vampire suck you on the neck, then you will be infected and become one of them. Then search for another victim and so on... But on the other side, the film is really scary and the ending? Namatay ang bida... hehehe... There were lot of gruesome scenes and it was okay naman. The movie also tackled about friendship and love. It is very rare to find a true friend and once in a blue moon to find the love of your life. Whatever kind of tragedies that you may encounter, still the faith and trust are the most important things.

2. The Game Plan (November 10) - Another comedy film for the entire family. The story is very predictable but the way it was directed... really cool! Never seen 'The Rock' on such performing act. Eventhough the ending is very obvious, still I loved it. hehehe... The lessons learned, you can't have everything and there is some important things that money can't buy. Still, family is the most precious gift that we have. I was also amazed by the performance of the child, so bubby, cute and funny.

3. Hitman (November 23) - Remember the villain from the movie Die Hard 4.0? Well in this movie, he is the lead character. His portrayal is really good, very convincing. His outfit and his body posture, perfect for a hitman. His leading lady is very hot and I'm wondering if he really resisted her in real life... Anyway, I can say that the movie is short but it was still okay. I like the action scenes and it's ending. Also, the bar code tatto on the head seems to be nice and really cool. I'm just wondering if I can do it for the summer look... hehehehe...

4. Beowulf (November 25) - When I saw the trailer of this movie, I have no idea that it was an animated film. Seriously, I was shocked knowing it. Really nice film and the way it was directed and animated, whew! galing! The story is quite interesting and really a movie that you shouldn't miss. Eventhough she was animated, Angelina Jolie is still so sexy.

Sometimes, you should be sensitive on the other's feelings. Ako, I know how to ride on jokes, mga pambibiro... pero meron din akong limitations. What they did really made me mad this afternoon... Sobrang nakakapikon... The people who did it should know that it will cause a lot of pain to me because it was definitely a BIG FOUL. Yes, nakikisama ako nang maayos, nakikijoke... but it was really a bulshit doing those things. Creating and producing a hardcopy of fucking things is an act of "kagaguhan" especially pag makakasira sa ibang tao. Other person was also affected and yun pa yung nakakainis. Even if it is not a big deal to the affected one, nahihiya pa rin ako sa kanya. I will give them cold treatment... Walang pansinan... walang usapan... as in wala... I will act as a different Carlo muna. The type na hindi makulit, tahimik and seryoso. Hanggat di sila nagsosorry I will be like that to them. Fuck!

Field Trip sa MoA

My officemates and I had this gimmick in Mall of Asia. The call time was 9 in the morning. I decided to go there directly and wait them in Fitness First. They arrived at around 10:30 in the morning... so it was a LONG wait. Hehehe...

We were all 10, based on the pictures above (syempre wala ako, ako yung kumukuha), I was with Topher, Arleen (yes, lalake po sya), Louisa, Shelley, Tammie, Jeph, Harold, Ryan and Emman. Our first stop was inside the mall. We searched for an ATM so that Arleen can withdraw money and the rest of them stayed on a car exhibit. We were all hungry that time so we decided to have our lunch.

We went to what they called as "dampa". We found this cool place called 'Josefinas Garden Grill Paluto". So we contributed 200 pesos each so that the others can go to the market and purchase the foods we want so that the restaurant will cook it for us.

Whew!!! The foods were overflowing. They bought tahong, hipon and fishes. Actually I forgot some of them kasi sobrang dami nga. But the only foods that are allowed to my stomach are fishes... Authentic seafoods??? Naaahhh!!! Di pwede yan. But I enjoyed the lunch! Emman had to leave before we weat because he had this "important" matters with his girlfriend... hehehe... Grabe kakabusog... As in lahat, masarap ang pagkakaluto!

After that uber dami at uber sarap na lunch, we headed to SMX Convention Center to check an IT exhibit called COMDDAP (I.T.'s Your Life)... Harold had to leave that time due to some personal matters but promised to come back. Back to COMDAPP, I think it was an exhibit of technology industry companies showcasing their new line of products and new innovation on their market.

Afterwards, they wanted to enter the carnival but it was only 2:30pm and totally tirik pa ang araw. I decided to make that "papawis" moment inside the gym rather than under the heat of the sun. They had their enjoyable moment inside the carnival and made their way to an all out rides! Then I enjoyed my workout in Fitness First MoA since it was my first time on that branch. It's my 11th branch na nabibisita ko na... hehehe... We met altogeher again at around 6:30pm and Harold came back but Tammie left already dahil naman sa family affairs! We watched the movie "The Game Plan" and afterwards, it was time to go home since we were all tired. It was such a great day! For sure mauulit pa...

The Knowles Experience

Last 7th of November, I got the chance to watch the Beyonce Experience Concert in The Fort, Taguig. I was with my breastfriend Maret. We met at McDonalds, right in front of their office in WeServ. The concert was really cool.

Mejo malayo kami sa stage pero okay lang! We really enjoyed that night! It was also a night of star gazing since there were many celebrities who were also present that night. Beyonce is a total performer... Loved the outfits... so sexy... hehehe....

Meet My New Friend

Finally, after waiting for one and a half months, my internet connection was fully installed last 3rd of November. Tagal ko kayang nag-antay. It was a data only Globe Broadband na 3Mbps for 1,999 pesos per month. My modem is a WiFi modem, meaning yung mga kapitbahay ko, pwedeng makakonek if they have a WiFi capable device. Ang daya!!! Wala kasing security settings! But at least I can update my blog everyday, hehehe... The blogger site was blocked in the office since July I think. Also, this internet will be very useful in downloading music, tv series and movies... hehehe...

Yes, this little gadget is a new friend of mine. Hehehe... A very good friend. A companion in connecting to the worldiwde web and some naughty acts... Nyahaha...

Halloween Celebration

Last October 26, we had our Halloween celebration in our office. Our department's theme was "Pirate's Hideaway". All of us wore black shirts and put red big handkerchief on our head so that we will look like a pirate... hehehe... We also decorated our area to fit the theme and can you imagine that we were 4th place on the decoration contest?! Besting out almost 20 candidates, hehehe... galing!

We prepared our treasure chest by putting candies on our table. We were all excited to see the children that will come around and make their trick or treat experience. My officemates bought around 4 plastics of candies and we had a taste test on it... hehehe...

When the kids started go around the office, we were all amazed by their costumes that they wore. Most of them were son/daughter of Misys employees. We were all delighted seeing those clothes... nakakatuwa silang makita... ang ku-cute... Gusto ko na ring magkaanak!!! Hehehe...

Then on the 1st of November, together with my sisters and my mother, we went to Pasig Cemetery to make a visit to our dear sister who was with the Lord almost 5 years now. I bought flowers for her.

We prayed for her soul and took konting kainan kahit pang miryenda type lang. Such a sad moment because our father was not around that time but we knew that our dear sister is protecting our father.

Mixed Genre

Last month, I was able to watch three movies and I am satisfied naman with these films. Each film has a different genre...

1. Apat Dapat, Dapat Apat (Friends 4 Lyf and Death) - This is such a hilarious movie, though some of the scenes were corny na, still the movie made me laughed out loud. The country's 4 leading comediennes were put together to create a movie that tackles the meaning of true friendship, not only the bonding while living but also in death but in a funny and a comedic way. For me, Wen Deramas is such a good comedy director. The movie somehow touched me on the issue of family responsibilities and obligations. Really cool film and I can say that I enjoyed it.

2. Lust, Caution - At first, I just want to see this film because of the controversial news about the love scenes... hehehe... Yes indeed, the love scenes were superb and uber sa exposure. The lead actress made a total and frontal nudity. But the overall sceenplay is really good. It tackled how can the betrayal and lust be alarming in our lives. We should only trust those person tha we really knew. Also, acting or portraying that you love someone eventhough it is not real is very damaging to yourself. The story is about the student activist who want to caught/kill person who betrayed their beloved country.

3. Stardust - Whew! I love fantasy films... hehehe... It felt like I came back to my childhood days while watching this movie. Nakakaenjoy sya and the special effects were excellent! The story itself is so magical and really entertaining. I love Michelle in that movie! Hehehe... the villainess in her seems to be so natural. I don't know but I just didn't like Claire Danes in that film, siguro di lang sila bagay nung lead actor, hehehe... But overall, I love the film!

All six of the new songs on the album were written by all of the members of Matchbox Twenty, a first for the group. My 100th Post

This is the my 100th post! And this will be about Fitness First! Hehehe... Last 28th of October, my bestfriend Ryan and I agreed to have our workout in FF Ortigas in Wynsum Building. I arrived there at past 2pm and did my cardio routine. Best arrived at almost three and I was on my back exercises and he started to warm up.

All in all, I had 6 back exercises. I assisted him on 3 back and bicep exercises. Best was busy doing the picture taking inside the gym... hehehe... But when the climax of the workout came, tumagaktak na ang pawis nya. I had to check on the right weight for him to lift so that his body can adopt easily on the exercises that we are doing. I was doing heavy weights and I have to calculate his ability and it seems na malakas naman sya.

Then came my favorite routine, abs exercises! Hehehe... We did two powerful abs routine and alas! Sobrang nafeel ko ung stretch at muscle pumping sa tiyan ko. I think Ryan also felt the same way. So after that, we headed to sauna then to shower. We parted ways at around 6 in the evening. The workout was really fun and so satisfying kasi kinabukasan sumakit ang likod ko! Hahahah...

At The Thousand Crane

Last 23rd of October, I had an uber sarap dinner with my Fujitsu friends in Thousand Crane located at the Greenbelt. It was a celebration for Ibyang's birthday and a "despedida" party for Allan as he will be leaving for India. Last year, we also celebrated Ibyang's birthday and again, a von voyage celebration but that time it was for Ann who will be out of the country for US deployment. Click here to check that blog entry.

It was a night of fun and healthy eating... Yes! healthy eating. Each one of us had this caserole where we can put the foods we want to heat or to be steamed. It was a Japanese themed place and foods. The food was great! No fried but I had to be very choosy on what food to pick since I'm not allowed to eat seafoods and pork! I had noodles, beef, some vegetables, etc. The setup was really cool but very hot. The smoke coming out from the caserole will blow out to your face if you don't know how to handle such order of eating, hehehe... No fried food! Such a glorious night!

Also present that night was the birthday celebrant's boyfriend Sonny, Ann, Nayds, Tong and Chichi. We made some kumustahans and a lot of good luck greetings to Allan since he will be residing again in India for almost a month. Ann made her kuwentos naman about her experiences in USA, the trips, the shopping and the immigration stories.

A Day With My Super Friends

Last Monday, 15th of October, I was on vacation leave from the office. Kelangan na maubos ang mga leaves ko! Hehehe... But the latest news is that the company is buying out leaves! Yehey!!! Anyway, on that day, after a tiring workout session in the gym, of course with my personal trainor Joel, I headed directly to SM Megamall to meet my super friends. Especially my bestfriend na sobrang miss ko na... hehehe...

I met them in Starbucks and I was so hungry that time so we looked for a place where we can have our lunch at 3pm... Hehehe... So we found this Pizza Hut (not Bistro) on the first level of the said mall. The place was okay and we got the best seat!

What we ordered? Hmmm... We had Cheesy Pop Supreme Pizza, lasagna, dessert platter, Wendel had chicken and pasta. I think we also had some chicken wings and fries. The food were okay naman as always. Loved the lasagna but on the pizza... naaahhh!!! I had difficulty eating it because I had to remove all pork content on it. Di ba nga no pork ever?! Hehehe.... Wendel and I shared the dessert platter since marami naman... Buti na lang I had 1 hour cardio on the treadmill before that super lunch...

At around 6:30, Maret arrived from her work in The Fort. But after 20 minutes, she had to leave because she will be meeting his other friend but she promised that she will return. Also that time we discuseed about our trip for the next year. I will be in Bangkok on January, Ryce best together with his family and April will also be there on March. On May, we'll be going to Boracay! and June or July we will be in Hong Kong! Also on October next year, I'm planning to go to Davao and on December in Malaysia.

Wendel asked me to treat them to watch movie! What we watched? It is obvious in the picture... hehehe... Wendel wanted to watch "Apat Dapat, Dapat Apat: Friends 4 Lyf and Death" Hahahah!!! I think Wendel has a big crush on Pokwang... Hehehe... Anyway, para nga maiba naman, we watched it na rin and the movie was really funny! But some of the scenes were corny pero we enjoyed naman the movie and we laughed out loud.

After the movie, time for coffee!!! Hehehe... As usual, in Starbucks. Best, Wendel and I had blackberry green tea frapuccino, Breast had Java Chip and April got Mocha Frapuccino ata... heheheh... We had several kumustahans and kuwentuhans and we also discussed again about sa trip namin next year and other plans. We separated ways at around 12:30 in the morning. All of us went home except for Wendel. He went to his office and got some sleep to prepare himself for his 3 in the morning work!

P.S. This entry is dedicated to April. I used all the pictures from her new digital camera Olympus! Hehehe... Yung pwede mabasa, sakto for our Bora trip. Also, thanks to April for the new term to Wendel, instead of Obesefriend, he is now my Besefriend (or mas okay beastfriend?... hahaha)

Fitness First Branches Tour (Part Two)

1. Robinson's Manila - It was the month of March, my first and last visit to this branch. After a tiring "gimmick" night (Click here to check that out), I had my weekend workout here the next day. At first glance, as in, sobrang laki and so lawak! If I'm not mistaken, this is the biggest Fitness First branch. It has two floors that are so wide! Though the locker room seems to be old, also the shower room, mejo luma yung dating. But the equipments and workout machines were new (I think so). I also like the gym where's the location is inside the mall, it was so convenient.

2. Eastwood - Based on my bestfriend's stories, I think this is the branch where you will see a lot of celebrities. His office is located at Eastwood City and it is so easy for him to do his workout routine in this branch. I go to his gym very often but the experience was really cool. Malaki din sya, I just didn't like the scenery outside the window, Ilog Pasig! Hehehe... But the atmosphere is very refreshing, maliwanag kasi. The only disappointment to me was the sauna bath, ang liit! ang sikip! Also, the locker room, luma na ata yung mga cabinets. But the equipments were almost complete, except sa isang abs machine na hinahanap ko lage. I will make another visit to this branch to check the updates and new happenings...

3. The Fort - This is definitely my favorite branch, so classy... hehehe... I also like the interior design, paikot sya and so wide. The machines were all new and daming cute na girls... hehehe... Medyo masikip nga lang ang free weights area pero madali namang diskartehan. My favorite area was the stretching and abs areas, you will really have a place to make your six pack exercises. The shower rooms were cool naman but the cabinets of the locker room, I think it is an old one.

4. Greenhills - Isang beses pa lang ako nakakapunta dito. It was when I visited my former personal trainor Mawel. He wasn't expecting me to be there, he just had his operation shape up when I arrived there. May utang pa sya saking sessions, hehehe... One thing that I can say about this branch, ganda ng reception area, as in astig. But... the treadmill machines???!!! Ngak, mga luma! Masikip yung entire area for other machines. Also, if you want to drink, you need to go downstairs pa and it is so annoying kung wala kang dalang tumbler or gamit ka ng drinking fountain. But I think I liked the shower room, dami and malinis pa tingnan unlike sa iba na parang di nalilinis, hehehe... I'll make a visit again to this branch to see if there is an improvement.

5. ABS-CBN - It was a workout day with my bestfriend (check this to read more). He was expecting ABS-CBN stars that time but he failed to see even Bentong, hehehe... The place was okay naman, I just didn't like the cycling area because it was an open area! Pag malakas yung sound kelangan mo magtiis sa ingay pati sa sigawan nila. But I like the free weights area, malaki ha and the equipments are in order. The place is also very relaxing maybe because that time, wala masyadong tao and you can use the equipment you want to use. The sauna bath is okay naman and also the shower room, all is well.

Movie Fest

September was full of great movies and I got the chance to watch four of them!

1. 1408 - At first, I didn't get the story plot. I really didn't understand it. But on the second run, I realized the message of the movie. Not every single thing in this world has an explanation. Sometimes you just have to believe it and be warned by the experiences and events that happened to others. Try to understand the things because it is not always that you have an answer for every questions. Like the lead star (John Cusack), he was not believeing in ghosts until he experienced one. The sound and visual effects were really good, nakakatakot and at the same time, nakakagulat. I also loved the twist of the story and the drama behind a family that is living in sorrow.

2. The Brave One - Whew! I love the plot of this film, REVENGE! This is my favorite plot! hehehe... The movie showed mixed emotions and attack on each scenes. There's a part that was really heart warming, a part where an action must be done to those people who hurt you, a part where sometimes you need to smile. I loved the ending of the movie! That sometimes, you just have to be fair to the other's feelings and it was so greatful to help the one in need even if it is out of legality. I was attached by the actiong prowess of Jodie Foster, galing talaga niya. She is such a versatile actress. Kudos to the director of this movie for bringing out the very best of her.

3. I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry - Really cool film, so funny! The movie showed the ugly and the funny side of being gay. I think the movie also made an attack to the gay icons that were still in the closet. But in totality, the movie was about a father who just wanted to make his children be always at safe through financial stability. Also, it tackles the theme of real friendship, that in everything you do, whether if it is good or bad, there will always be one person that will support you and will make you realize the positive and negative side of your actions. Whew! I just missed my bestfriend! Anyway, for sure you will love this movie and will make you laugh until the end.

4. Resident Evil: The Extinction - Though the movie seems to be short, it was a full packed action film! Still, Mila Jovovich is so hot! Hehehe... The first scene was definitely really hot. I have seen the past two parts and based on the ending on this third part, I think (not sure) that there will be a fourth installment to this series. I loved the part na magugulat ako, napapatayo ako sa upuan... hehehe... The cannibalism scenes were so nakakadiri pero okay lang... Loved the makeup for all the zombies and of course the action scenes made by Mila... I also loved the ending!

Team Building @ Red Box

I organized our team's 'Team Building' and it was held last 20th of September at Red Box Karaoke in Greenbelt 3. It was Thursday and we chose that day because of the buffet, hehehe... The place was nice and the room that we had was quite big. We had free two drinks and an overflowing food...

I also arranged the order of the person who will sing but it turned out that I sang the first... hehehe... We had a lot of fun and time to bond with my teammates (the heck! kaya nga team building eh...). That time, walang hiya hiya, lahat kakanta! At first they were so shy especially the new four members of the team but in the end, para na silang mga lasing...

What did I sing that time? Hmmm... based sa pagkakatanda ko, I sang Nelly's So Sick, Usher's U Remind Me and Confessions Part II (na hindi ko natapos), Jay-R's Bakit Pa Ba, Because of You and I had duets for the songs Fill Me In by Craig David, Cruisin' by Gwyneth Paltrow and... di ko matandaan... hehehe... and Bring Me to Life by Evanescence (ako ung rapper! hehehe...)

It was totally a night of fun and night of out loud happiness. Even for just at least 4 hours, we forgot about work and had a wonderful evening building excellent relationship with your co workers...
