Miami to Ft. Lauderdale via TriRail

Yesterday I arrived around 4:30 in the afternoon at Miami International Airport. My plan was to take a cab from this airport going to Fort Lauderdale as I need to spend one night there. I read that you can transfer from Miami to Fort Lauderdale by using Tri-Rail system. It is actually easy to find.

Just follow the directions that are displayed all around the aiport and it will take you about 20 minute of walking to reach the ticketing area. In the ticket area, there are two types of kiosks, one is for the metro rail while the other is for Tri-Rail. So you need to buy that ticket that sells for Tri-Rail and from there, you need to go down to reach the platform. Make sure to select the station that you want to reach on the kiosk and you need to pay in cash.

The train seems like two level. I only stayed on the 1st level but there was a stair going up. From Miami airport, it took me about 45 minutes to reach the 'Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport' station. The ride was very convenient and most importantly, very cheap. But the problem is, there is no airport hotel in Fort Lauderdale so I had to book a hotel nearby. I booked in Red Carpet Inn Airport Hotel. It was 5 to 10 minute via taxi and the cost was 20 USD (yes, a bit expensive).
